Carrie Jeske cares about people and has been dubbed, “The Velvet Hammer”. Her talks are candid, funny and filled with practical, action oriented instruction and inspiration.
Carries experience spans 30 years in sales and executive management with a history of growing individuals and organizations to higher levels of productivity and purpose. Her rookie years were developed at Motorola selling two way radios to advanced technology products, gaining an early glimpse into the world of innovation. She transitioned into the training & development industry in the early 90s, igniting a passion for public speaking by implementing high quality performance improvement programs to Fortune 500 companies with Achieve Global and the American Management Association. Realizing the value of high quality, skill based training and the out of reach price tag to small business; she left corporate America, with an interest to reinforce these behaviors as a big fish in a smaller pond. She served as right hand executive leader to the owner of three small businesses; growing teams, increasing sales and being bitten by the entrepreneurial bug herself.
Her husband of 30 years and high school sweetheart is an inventor and structural engineer. In 2000 the couple formed Inventive Ideas, launching his patented products to market. The flagship product, SportsShade, was sold in specialty sporting goods including Cabala’s and Sports Authority. It was licensed in rollouts for Coca Cola, Budweiser and Coors Lite and sold in big box stores Sam’s Club and Cabalas. Carrie demonstrated the product on QVC and completed market viability tested in the As Seen on TV industry.
In 2004, she began volunteering at the Inventors Center of KC, eventually serving as president to develop a strong board of directors and grow from 20 attendees to between 50-80 people per month and a member base of almost 2,000. The group hosted an Annual National Invention Contest that facilitated the licensing of 7 inventors patents. Her connection to the inventor community widened as her exposure to tales of success and sad accounts of misfortune grew.
In late 2013, she joined forces with Will It Launch (WIL), a short form Direct Response (DR-TV) company in the “As Seen on TV” (ASOTV) industry. The opportunity to look behind the curtain and see the massive infrastructure, support team, strategic alliances, product rollout approach and high capacity for new product innovation is amazing. The significance of early stage market viability testing became clear and the exposure to a low cost, high reward way of inventing became obvious. Carrie quickly implemented a Product Scout team as a way of helping inventor entrepreneurs earn income while learning the business. Will It Launch offers fully funded licensing opportunities and partnership programs on selected new products. Carrie writes blogs, posts video training and speaks extensively on a variety of topics including: “Low Cost, High Reward Inventing” and “How To Earn $330,000 Inventing Products For TV or $27,500 in Finders Fees” and “If There’s a Mistake, I’ve Made It”.
